The textures of country living

Exposed stone and brick, earthy tones and beams in walnut or chestnut shades. A country house’s character comes from the whole: floors, window surrounds, shutters and roof should speak the same design language.

02 · Materials and details
Choose more than a floor. Design a whole.
Interiors, from light to touch
Terracotta, oak, stone, porcelain and resin feel different. Room-to-room continuity, joints, skirting, doors and stairs should be chosen together. A sample viewed in the project’s light tells more than an isolated material in a photograph.
Kitchen, bathrooms and furniture
Dimensions, service points, ventilation and lighting are coordinated with furniture. The catalogue includes kitchens and bathrooms that can be integrated into the supply: models, materials and installation are defined in the design and specification.
Windows and shading
Frame material, colour, sill depth and shading affect architecture and use. Shutters and external blinds also need assessment for exposure, privacy, cleaning and daily operation.
Ceilings and exposed structure
Natural beams, pale finishes, timber with terracotta infill or suspended ceilings create different atmospheres. The choice is coordinated with room heights, acoustics, lighting and service routes.
Outdoor living
Porches, pergolas, terraces, gardens and pools can extend the interior design outdoors. Levels, drainage, access and exterior materials need the same care as the house; the planned works are agreed within the project scope.

Questions to ask before building.
Do I have to choose a catalogue model?
The five design directions start the conversation. Layout, openings and materials are developed around the villa design, the site and the people who will live there.
Can I combine materials from different styles?
Yes: a style provides direction rather than replacing design. Combinations should be assessed with samples, drawings and overall views, checking technical compatibility, maintenance and visual coherence.
Are the kitchen, furniture and pool included?
They can be integrated into the design and contract. Supplies, installation and external works need to be listed in the agreed specification: an inspiration image does not define what is included.
When are finishes selected?
Choices affecting thicknesses, levels, services and procurement are coordinated during design. Samples help confirm materials and colours before installation, reducing late decisions and incompatibilities.
